Log Cabin Plan – Cardboard Planning

This is my log cabin cardboard miniature version of my future log cabin that will be built in Alaska. I’m wanting to build a vertical log cabin (stockade style cabin).

The log home will be 12 feet by 12 feet by 16 feet to the top of the roof. The living room is only 5 feet high and the bedroom will be about 3 feet high. So basically, the log cabin will have 3 levels.

If you have any suggestions about my tiny log cabin idea, please leave a comment. Our tiny home in Alaska will be awesome.

If you’ve build a log cabin before, I’d love to pick your brain :) Thanks again!

John

Home Plans | Things You Should Know About Home Plans

http://MrTrueBestFriend.com/home-plans — WARNING: Home Plans right here! Home Plans Tips & Guide!

Building starts with the right home plan.

In other articles I expound on the positives of using a coach when building a home.

But, what about the design of the home?

How can a home building coach help there?

In many situations, purchasing a home plan from a floor plan or blueprint company is a perfectly good option.

The coach is a source of knowledge your home building coach is your advocate, advisor, and a wealth of information.

When it comes to your home design, floor plan, and the products used for building, your coach will be an invaluable resource.

Three Approaches to Creating Your House Plans

A Coach Helps When You: Design Your Own Home

Your experienced coach can advise you on costs per square foot and the costs and practicalities of products and building materials, etc.

Use a Coach When You: Employ an Architect or Residential DesignerArchitects can be very creative.

Many times this results in a home that is beyond your needs and budget and can sometimes even exceed or ignore local building practices.

Use a local coach who is aware of what YOU want and can help you convey that to your home’s designer.

Hire a Coach Before You: Purchase a PlanYour coach can help you find and understand these requirements.

It’s easy to see how important it is to get this type of independent help when choosing a house plan or designing a home.

A perfect house plan results from good planning.

Cabin Design 3

This will make for the quintessential log cabin in the mountains. This is a 936 sq.ft. log cabin with its open great room feel with a fireplace and a nice amount of glass will be just right to take avantage of the perfect snow capped mountain views in Forbes Park, Colorado. With its one bedroom one bath up, and a possible one bed one bath and recreation room down, will make for a very nice place for family and friends to spend quality time in the Rockie’s of Colorado.
