building a home and house plans?

I am building a home on some land that I have purchased. I am just now starting the whole process with the mortgage company. I have picked a floor plan, however the mortgage company is asking for the "plans to the home". would this be the blue prints?
I asked the mortgage company if they needed the actual blue prints (they are not cheap 1000$ +) their answer was that they didn’t want me to have to spend that much money and just needed he Home Plans. What is the difference?
My father, who is a retired home builder, is building this house.

I felt Floor plans are enough

Where can I find on line the floor plans of an 64 x 28 double wide sloitaire mobile home?

Wren is rght, as long as it’s still in production. If it isn’t, you won’t be able to.

need to find floor plans on a certain home want to see what it looks like inside.an already existing home?

This question has gone six days without an answer. The fact of the matter is that there are thousands upon thousands of house plans available to the general public at newstands everywhere. They can be found in any grocery or drug store with a magazine stand. In addition there are plans available online. New home builders often have their own house plans generated in house and they are usually copyrighted as are all of the others.

When a builder builds a new home, a set of plans must usually be submitted with the application for a building permit. These plans are not kept for more than a couple of years by the building inspectors office, usually because the sheer volume of them would overwhelm the space available to store them.

All of this explanation leads to the fact that it will be extremely difficult for you to obtain the plans to a particular house. In addition, you have provided no general location, much less the name of the builder etc.. You get the picture.

Best advice … if the house was recently built, and you know the name of the builder, you might have a good chance of obtaining the plans, or at the least, a brochure with the basic outline of the house. Outside of that, you are probably out of luck.

Good luck with your search for information.

Where can you get a copy of a homes floor plan or blue print?

I am the second owner of this home that was built in 1991. I would like to obtain a floor plan or blue print of the home to give to the contractor. (He asked if I had it, I said I’d check, husband said we got it when we bought the house, I can’t find it.) Is there a way to obtain a copy of it?

Hi, Can anyone tell me what the software is that they use on home makeover programs to simulate floor plans?

AutoCAD http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?siteID=123112&id=2704278

Looking for a good home design/floor plan software program.?

any good ones you can tell me about that are somewhat easy to use? Thanks!

There’s no such thing as a ‘good’ one unless you want to spend thousands for pro architecture software. I’ve settled on two though that are useable, 3DHome Architect which I used for kitchen design and Punch! Home Design for the layout of the rest of the house. Each of them have quirks and funky interfaces that take a while to get used to. If you are looking to do fairly simple things, then Punch! would be my first choice. It won’t let you do things like hook a 4" wall to a 6" wall and it has limited cabinet designs for kitchen layout. Its render and 3d walkthroughs are pretty cool though.
