Ok, one more request, but only because its really hard to get Mac-friendly software that is so great and is free, and because y’all did such a great job on this one. So, how about a landscaping program?
Great software, …
Great software, especially for the price (gotta love free). My only request is to allow manipulation of different sections of the same wall. For example: I designed a kitchen with a tile backspash, and painted walls above the cabinetry. It would be nice to model both textures on the same wall. Plus that wall extended into the dining area which was to be painted a different color. (I worked that part out) Still love the program, looking forward to the next iteration.
Bottom line: Get this program
Magnetism is what I …
Magnetism is what I meant, which there is none of! It shows the dotted line, but doesn’t snap to the guide itself.
My problem with a wall dividing two rooms is just that you would need a t-junction, and you can’t make one properly, because when you export it it isn’t merged with the wall like it seems in the blueprint view, so when I render it in some other program, you get those buggy bands and black noise at the point where the two surfaces are overlapping.
By the way, note …
By the way, note that a new video describing version 1.7 is available since last week.

Thank you for your feedback.
There’s no “snap to the grid” at this moment. I think it’s not realistic : almost no home has a wall with a length multiple of 1 meter, or even 10 cm. But magnetism helps the user get a length close to a round value, get angles multiple of 15° between walls, place doors and windows on walls, and place furniture along walls (this list will probably get longer in future versions
What was your problem with the wall dividing two rooms?
It’s good, but it …
It’s good, but it could use some more work. For instance, it would really be great if the topology of the export were cleaner, meaning merged walls aren’t just intersecting geometries on export, so that you can actually make t-junctions that work. And the snapping doesn’t work right; it shows the line, but doesn’t actually snap. The way holes are put in walls where windows go is good topology editing, but the fact that you can’t make a wall dividing two rooms.
